Mandy Demers was born in Berlin, New Hampshire. Her parents divorced when she was young, which prompted her to become interested in the legal system. She left her home state to attend Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, and a concentration in Psychology.
After graduating from college, Mandy moved to Arizona and has lived here since 2001. She immediately began working in law firms (once she convinced them that she intended to remain in Arizona past the first summer) in various fields of law. Within the first six (6) months, she began working for a solo practitioner who practiced in several areas of law, including personal injury, estate planning, and family law. Family law always sparked her interest, but after leaving his employment, she chose to branch out to try other areas, such as medical malpractice, and business law. None of them held her attention like family law.
After a couple of years, Mandy joined a firm assisting in mainly family law and found her stride. She believed this was the area of law that she could help the most people while understanding the delicacy of the situation. It is always heartbreaking to see the end of a relationship, especially with children involved, and she feels that she can help do her part by being understanding, and knowledgeable about the best ways to help people through this difficult process. She has remained in the family law field for the last twenty years and feels that her compassion, understanding, and knowledge have helped to improve the lives of the people she assists, and their children.
When she is not working, she spends time with her family including her significant other and her eldest daughter, as well as her extended family. She also spends time with her pets (3 cats and 1 dog), is an avid reader, and likes to bake.
