Our client was from California and was visiting northern Arizona to spend some time up in the mountains. When driving through Sedona, a DPS Trooper caught him on radar traveling twice the speed limit—70 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone. The Trooper pulled our client over and wrote him a criminal speeding ticket.
After our client returned home to California, he decided he needed a lawyer to help him fight the charges. We were able to handle all of the court dates for our client without him having to come back to Arizona even once. We were able to get the judge to agree to allow our client to complete Defensive Driving School in exchange for the judge dismissing the criminal speeding ticket altogether. Our client completed the Defensive Driving School course and was able to keep a clean record—no criminal conviction, no civil traffic violation, and no points on his license.
